no photo for you 06/22/08
Just settled in to 8C, my home away from home for the next few hours. As I boarded I snapped a couple pics for flickr and was harshly told that photos are a no no. The flight attendant then threatened to get the captain despite me agreeing to delete the photos and not take any more. The friendly skies is appearently a misnomer.
Then they sent the flights security director to interrogate me. That got a little weird. How do you explain that you take pictures of random nonsense and write about it online?
Anyway, after a lot of funny looks and uncomfortable hand gestures they decided I and my camera phone shots of my seat are not a threat and allowed me back on the plane.
I made it back just in time to be delayed inevitably and am thus writing from the tarmac in the “penalty box” as the captain put it. Air travel is a cruel mistress.
