Eager iPhone purchasers 08/02/08
Last night LG and I crashed at Ether Clarks so that I could wake up at 5 and ensure myself a new ipod this morning. When 5 rolled around, I was ready to go, needless to say LG and Esther were less inclined.
Anyway, hustled over to the Pentagon City Mall and arrived first for the days haul. I fell asleep on the bench outside the store, and awoke about and hour later to the small mass of writhing apple fans clamoring for the iphone goodness we all so recklessly covet.
Now, I had expected some people, but by 8 am when the store opened the line had grown to over 60 people. Just to point out, this phone came out weeks ago: this is not a new product release.
Which begs the question, how many units can they possibly sell?!?
By 8:16 my iPhone was bagged up and I was heading out a happy camper. I have since been sitting on the floor of Esther’s apartment downloading apps and futzing around (thats a technical term) with the unit.
If there is any one description that fits, I believe its “satiated”.
